Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Diving Planet. By using our website and booking our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please discontinue use of our site and services.

1. General Provisions

  • Agreement: This is a legal agreement between you (“Client”) and Diving Planet Diving Center (“Company”, “We”, “Us”).

  • Eligibility: Users must be 18 years of age or older to book through this site. Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian and have signed parental consent for all diving activities.

  • Content: Any text, photos, or reviews you submit to our site become “Content” which we may use for promotional purposes.

2. Booking and Payments

  • Direct Contract: A booking made through our Online Booking System constitutes a direct contract between you and Diving Planet.

  • Deposits: To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit is required. No booking is confirmed until this payment is received.

  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance of any booking must be paid in full on the first day of your diving activity at the Diving Center.

  • Currency & Exchange: Prices are indicated in the booking confirmation. We accept cash in GBP, EUR, USD, and EGP. For cash payments, the exchange rate will be determined by the official market rate on the day of payment.

3. Safety and Conduct

Safety is our absolute priority. We maintain a zero-incident standard and expect our guests to cooperate.

  • Certification Limits: Divers are strictly prohibited from exceeding their certification depth/limits. Decompression diving is not permitted unless specifically planned and pre-authorized.

  • Professional Authority: Our instructors and guides have the final word. We reserve the right to terminate any dive or cancel a booking—without refund—if a guest performs unsafe acts or puts staff/other divers at risk.

  • Sobriety: We operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol. If we suspect a guest is under the influence, their booking will be cancelled immediately without refund.

  • Environment: We are guests in the ocean. Any intentional damage to coral reefs or harassment of marine life may result in immediate termination of your diving trip.

4. Cancellations and Changes

  • Weather & Force Majeure: Diving Planet cannot be held responsible for cancellations caused by weather, sea conditions, or Coast Guard restrictions. In such cases, we will attempt to reschedule.

  • Client Cancellations: If you cancel your booking, all deposits paid are non-refundable.

  • Rescheduling: We will do our best to accommodate date changes, but these are subject to availability and may incur an administration fee.

  • Course Interruption: If you decide not to complete a PADI course, no refunds will be given for the remaining portion.

5. Insurance and Liability

  • Personal Responsibility: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate travel and SCUBA diving insurance. Your insurance should cover medical emergencies, decompression chamber treatments, and evacuations.

  • Liability: Diving Planet carries public liability insurance; however, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury, loss of equipment, or medical issues arising from pre-existing conditions not disclosed in the medical statement.

6. PADI Courses

  • Standards: All courses are taught strictly to PADI standards. Certification is earned, not bought. We will not certify any student who has not met the required performance requirements.

  • Materials: PADI digital materials (e-Learning) are non-refundable once assigned to your account.

  • Schedule: Courses follow a strict sequence. Missing a session may result in “catch-up” fees or the need to join a later group to ensure all safety standards are met.

7. Rental Equipment

  • Care: Our equipment is regularly serviced and sterilized. We expect guests to treat rental gear with respect.

  • Damage/Loss: The client is responsible for any damage or loss of rental equipment. Charges must be paid on the day of the incident.

    • Examples: Regulator damage (£100–£500), BCD damage (£100–£400), Lost/Broken Computer (£200–£350), Damaged Mouthpiece (£15).

8. Acceptance

By paying a deposit or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
